Frequently Asked Questions

General

  • What should I bring? 

    • A journal to process and write down your thoughts

    • Refillable water bottle 

    • A few changes of yoga/workout wear.

    • Yoga mat

    • Good tennis shoes and walking shoes for hikes or general traveling about. And sandals for beach destinations.

    • Sunscreen

 

  • What is the appropriate age group for this retreat?

    • You must be 18 years of age or older to attend a retreat at ARetreat 

 

  • Can I join a waitlist?

    • Yes! We'd love to have you join us if a spot opens up. Simply email Aretreatco@gmail.com with your name and phone number.

 

  • What about taking pictures?

    • To respect the privacy of our attendees and to fully participate in each session, we ask that phones be set aside or used sparingly throughout the day. Photos will not be allowed, however, we will have a photographer on site to capture special moments throughout the retreat. 

 

  • Where are you located and what is the best way to get there?

    • The location for each retreat varies. Please click the following link to look up the location for the retreat you would like to attend. 

 

  • How do I volunteer?

    • If you are interested in volunteering, or participating in any way please reach out to our Event Director, Eddie Garcia, at Aretreatco@gmail.com

 

  • What kind of transportation do you provide?

    • Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation. However, if you are in need of any special services or need our help coordinating transportation, please email our Event Director, Eddie Garcia, at Aretreatco@gmail.com

 

  • Can I bring my pet?

    • Unfortunately, due to liability issues guests may not bring their pets.

 

  • What if I leave personal belongings at the Retreat?

    • E-mail Aretreatco@gmail.com. If your item is found, you will receive an invoice for shipping and handling. Once that is paid, it will be returned to you. Lost items are returned on the 1st of the month following your retreat.

 

  • Will you be serving alcohol?

    • Yes, alcohol will be served at our events. 

 

  • What is the policy on drugs and intoxicants?

    • ARetreat is a drug free campus. 

 

Payments

  • How much to reserve my spot?

    • A full deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your spot. The deposit is non-refundable or transferrable.

    • It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policies. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. No refunds or credits will be given for failure to attend or failure to complete the retreat, or for arriving late or leaving early. 

    • ARetreat reserves the right to cancel any retreat, due to inclement weather or any other unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control. Your entire payment will be refunded or transferred to another retreat.

 

  • What is included in the all-inclusive registration price?

    • Freshly prepared meals and snacks.

    • Refreshments

    • Comprehensive program and workshops

  • What is NOT included in the all-inclusive registration price?

    • One Hour Massage (select retreats only)

    • Cooking Class (select retreats only)

    • Transportation

    • Accommodations (select retreats only)

 

Past History

 

  • What about injuries or food allergies/dietary restrictions?

    • Injuries: If you have specific injuries or health conditions that may interfere with your participation, please indicate in “Guest Intake Form” after booking. You are encouraged to practice at your level and honor your body. ARetreat is not liable for any injuries.

    • Food Allergies/Dietary Restrictions: Each menu is available buffet style, you may choose what best suits your lifestyle. Indicate food allergies or restrictions in "Guest Intake Form" after booking. All of our meals are prepared from scratch, using organic and local ingredients whenever possible.

    • We appreciate your understanding when there are fewer options to choose from when personal restrictions are involved. You are welcome to bring additional food, snacks or beverages.

 

Facility

 

  • What amenities does the facility offer?

    • This will vary per location. Venue website will be shared in a program run-down that will be emailed to you. 

 

  • What about medical emergencies?

    • In the event of a medical emergency, the attendee will be taken to a LOCAL hospital or Urgent care facility as applicable. We are not able to accommodate requests to other facilities.

 

Program

 

  • What is the program?

    • ARetreat programming entails proprietary information and will therefore only be distributed to guests once booked.

 

  • If I feel uncomfortable participating at any point, am I obligated to?

    • You are highly encouraged to participate in all programming activities. However, if at any point you experience discomfort, please let our program leads know.

 

  • Who are the retreat leaders and how are they selected?

    • ARetreat organized has spent years scouring the world for experts in the health and wellness space. Each leader is highly vetted and the program is curated in collaboration with them.
